Children's
Garden
We will have a sizeable children's garden to display plants of importance
in agriculture and horticulture. The focus will be to help children
understand the many different forms that plants can take, the different
ways that we benefit from plants, and how a variety of plants are used.
For example, we will have sections of the garden to demonstrate food
crops, fiber crops, plants fed to livestock, and other types of economically
important plants. A special emphasis will be made to grow plants with
high visual or tactile interest for children. Walking paths and signs
will provide for an interesting and enjoyable stroll for people of all
ages.
