Public Education Creating demand for agricultural products is in part an education process with the general public. To help consumers better understand the role of agriculture in society and contributions that farmers and their products can make, the Jefferson Institute has undertaken new education programs. One recently established program is providing fellowships to agricultural professionals, supporting their efforts to write and communicate about our current food and agriculture system. We are also developing youth education programs to help students understand agriculture and farming, including the production and use of various crops. Our youth education programs will be fostered through our new educational farm.
